Does anyone have experience with a Sit n Stand stroller? Im thinking about ordering one from Amazon. The one Im considering is the Baby Trend Sit n Stand Tag-a-Long Stroller. I love the idea of having a place for my 3-year-old to sit (or stand) when she gets tired of walking, and I do a lot of walking almost every day if I can possibly get myself (and two kids) ready and outside early in the morning. Heres the Sit n Stand: Ive also had my eye on the Joovy Caboose, which has a lot of excellent reviews. I think the green one is gorgeous. 🙂 My other option is a double jogging stroller. I LOVED my single jogging stroller when Emma was a baby. I love the way it rides so smoothly on all terrains, rough or smooth. My only concern is that Emma might be too big for…
Before I tried this recipe, I hadnt ever purchased Chef Boyardees pasta in a can before. I really wasnt sure about it. I dont know why I mean, I have no problem with chili in a can or soup in a can, or Macaroni and Cheese in a box. What I didnt realize is that these meals have no preservatives! If I had known, I wouldnt have been so hesitant to try it. Recently I was chosen to work with Chef Boyardee and Mom Central to try one of their new quick and easy main dish recipes featuring their canned products. I was more than ready and willing to give them a try! A couple of my mom friends told me that they really liked Chef Boyardee, and I couldnt wait to try it out myself. 🙂 There are five new recipes on the Chef Boyardee website including Cheeseburger-roni, Taco-roni,…
I actually finished this awhile ago but hadnt had a chance to show you guys yet. 🙂 I used the Chelsea Ruffle Top pattern from Brynnberlee Designs. (I won 5 patterns from her through a really great giveaway!) Dont you love these fabrics? They are favorites, from the Patty Young Andalucia and Mezzanine lines. Im really happy with this top, especially the colors. 🙂
Have you seen the new Infantino Comforting Play collection? Not only do these toys and soothers have an extreme cuteness factor going for them, theyre effective in comforting my little guy, too! We received a box full of these products thanks to the Mom Central Infantino Test Drive Mom program. I am so thrilled to be a part of this! Infantino has always been a favorite brand of mine when it comes to baby toys. Im happy to be able to share some of our experiences with the brand with you now! Infantino Comforting Play Collection Sweet Bee Scented Pal: This cute little bee friend is perfect for hanging on the car seat if you have a baby who fusses during car rides. It smells like lavender, one of the reasons its a FAVORITE for me. I already use lavender essential oils in my babys bathtub at night so its…
Play Silks are really popular right now, especially with preschool age children. They love them, theres really a lot of imaginary play potential there. I havent had a chance to either make and dye some colorful silk material for play or buy some, so I decided to make Emma something to kind of hold us over until then. Remember when I was making tutus? Well, I had a lot of tulle left over, so I decided to make Emma a tulle wand. Im not really sure what to call it, but tulle wand sounds better than tulle on a stick. 😉 Emma enjoyed running around our yard with it, making the tulle fly in the wind. I didnt purposely do it, but I think this one looks kind of patriotic. Cant you just see a bunch of children running through the yard with their own tulle wands? So much fun!…
Ive recently discovered Become.com, a site that allows you to shop for products, research reviews and information about the product, and compare prices all in one place! Way cool, right? I usually bounce around from Amazon for reviews to Google for price comparisons, but this is much more convenient. I decided to try out the effectiveness of their search and so typed in instant bug screen and clicked shop. Become immediately came up with a large selection of prices, sizes, and brands. You can also refine your search and search by color, price, ratings, and store. And, just FYI, an instant bug screen is a screen that hangs over your door and lets your pets (or children) in and out but snaps back with magnets so the bugs dont get inside. 😉 Back to my shopping ponderings. Ive been on the lookout for home organizers lately. We have such a…

After youve read through this post, if youve ever felt intimidated at the thought of making your own baby food well, I guarantee youre going to feel differently. At the very least, youll see how truly simple it is. If I can do it, anyone can! I stocked up my freezer supply of baby food in one day and it didnt take that long at all, didnt make a horrible mess, and was very rewarding! Someone is pulling himself up to stand And crawling! And boy is he satisfied with himself. 🙂 Ive heard the phrase, Dont blink so many times. I just smiled, not truly understanding, when I was younger. Even Emma didnt seem to grow as quickly as Isaac is. I dont know where the last six months went. In some ways it seems like it was the longest six months of my life (that kid has been HIGH maintenance) and in another way. well, it seems like just a week or so ago I was bringing home a newborn. Strange how it works, isnt it? Six-month update post coming soon (when I can get a minute, whew!).
I recently discovered the awesomeness that is drinking your veggies through Angela of Oh She Glows. She started the Green Monster Movement, encouraging people everywhere to try making green smoothies for a healthy boost. I tried it and now find myself craving them even! Whats great about these drinks is that you can tweak the ingredients to make it perfect for you in taste and substance. For example, I like to add fruits in mine. Just adding a banana and frozen berries covers up the taste of the veggies completely I love it! Angela shares a list of green smoothie recipes to inspire us. I looked at them all and then made up my own favorite smoothie recipe. Thats what I want to share today. 🙂 Im going to list ingredients and give you approximations when it comes to how much I put in. It really depends on how much…
