I received the most fantastic package from Pyrex! It included treasures that made me and my kitchen very happy. Ive admired the Pyrex brand since I first received some bakeware for a wedding gift, but havent purchased any for myself since. WHY? Now I know I should have invested in this terrific brand rather than going for the cheapest option at all times. For some reason, I assumed that Pyrex kitchen products were too expensive. But you know what? They are not! Just check out the Pyrex website for yourself and youll be pleasantly surprised at how affordable everything is! And I can tell you that their products will last a lot longer than many of the great deals I have found at Ikea or Walmart. Some Pyrex products I have my eye on A 4-piece metal bakeware set including muffin pan and plastic lid, medium cookie pan, and a…
Have you heard this theory before? Ive wondered at its truth. Does it apply to only certain kids? My daughter Emma has cried at every doctor appointment involving shots, and no wonder! There have been times I was close to tears as well its just hard seeing your child have to go through any amount of pain or discomfort. And you cant tell a baby or toddler that they are getting the immunizations for their protection and expect them to understand fully. Do any children actually like their doctor visits? It seems to get worse as Emma gets older, although partly due to the fact that weve had to switch pediatricians twice so no familiar faces. At Emmas 2-year appointment, it was our first time at a new pediatricians office and although everyone was super nice, once we got past the waiting room (and toys), Emma was miserable and let…
If youre searching for the perfect car seat, look no more! Ive found it in The First Years Via Infant Car seat. It is true love, let me tell you. With Emma, my first baby, a travel system was gifted to me and so I never really did any shopping around or comparing of different car seat features. I accepted that car seat gratefully. But now that Im more savvy to the different types of baby gear out there, I know that that car seat wasnt the best. It did its job in keeping my baby safe in the car, but it wasnt padded well, had more of a sharp chair-type angle in the seat than a comfortable recline, and it was heeeavy! My baby boy due in January is going to have a completely different car seat experience with the Via Infant Car Seat. Check it out: This car…
Heres what I did this weekend: Stared at my huge self in the mirror. Got asked if I was completely sure Im not having twins. Bought a new vacuum because I thought ours was broken but when we came home, John took a big wad of dog hair out of it. Still, the new vacuum (a Bissell Pet Hair Eraser) is AWEEEEEEEEESOME and I really needed a new one anyway. Even after fixing and vacuuming with my old vacuum, when I went over it with my new one it picked up tons of dirt and hair my old one had missed. Yes! (And yuck!) Felt huge and pregnant. When I tried to finish vacuuming and got so tired I had to sit down, I knew it was time to start working out more. Come Monday. Oh, thats today. Went to Kohls and got a pair of maternity pants for my…
Have you ever wanted to learn to make your own hair accessories? Sometimes what you find in the stores just isnt exactly what you want or it is such poor quality that it falls apart after a week or so. Once you see how easy it is to make them yourself you wont feel the need to spend a fortune on a coordinating hair clip set for the holidays or your childs bow collection. Youll be able to make your own and have a blast doing it! So lets get started with The Tutorial! Supplies needed: Scissors Three lengths of ribbon (specified below) Glue (I like Aleenes Tacky Glue, and a glue gun for the bow is very helpful) Hair clips (Can be purchased online in bulk for very good prices!) A lighter or matches Step 1: Cut three lengths of ribbon. 1 @ 4.5 inches, 1 @ 1 1/4…

The new Tinker Bell movie, Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue, is coming to DVD/Blu-Ray on September 21! I absolutely love the Tinker Bell movies they are visually stunning and a treat for fairy-lovers (adults and children alike). Ive been looking forward to this release because it is the first full-length Tinker Bell movie in which Tink meets her first human, a little girl named Lizzy! Before she was ever introduced to Wendy and the Lost Boys, Tinker Bell met Lizzy, a girl with a steadfast belief in fairies. Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue begins in summertime in the beautiful English countryside. An enchanting encounter unfolds when Tinker Bell is discovered by Lizzy, and as their different worlds unite, Tink develops a special bond with the curious girl in need of a friend. As her fellow fairies launch a daring rescue, Tinker Bell takes a huge risk,…
I hadnt considered buying eyeglasses online before discovering this awesome and incredibly helpful feature at Glasses USA trying on eyeglasses virtually by uploading your photo! Screenshot: Whattya think? Is this pair me? I didnt think anything could beat buying in-store because you can personally try on and be sure that glasses look good, but now that Ive seen this, Im sold on the online shopping experience! Even buying prescription glasses can be done online and there is a MUCH bigger selection online than in-store. At this particular site, you can find prescription glasses and sunglasses in brands like Calvin Klein, Nike, Jones New York, and Tommy Hilfiger for discounted prices. I have been having so much fun trying on all these gorgeous glasses and deciding which style looks the best from the comfort of my home! Have you bought glasses online in the past? If not, does a feature like…
Ive never liked bras. This might be partly because it is so easy to be wearing the wrong size (does anyone love bra shopping?), but there are so many other things to dislike about bras including the need to know your correct size, underwire poking you, clasps breaking, too much padding (or not enough), cheap fabrics stretching, and much more. I have spent so much on bras and never found a brand I wanted to stick with. Thats just sad. When I was pregnant with Emma (2 years ago) and then nursing her for a year after, I wore nursing bras from maternity stores or department stores. I hated them. They never seemed to fit right, fell apart, and were not nearly supportive enough. Fast forward to now Im pregnant with my second and nursing bras are on the horizon. I wasnt excited about it at all but that was…
