How CUTE is this little girl and that sweet summer dress? (Okay, I might be a little biased about the little girl since shes mine. 😉 Im so glad that the weather is warming up it means dresses and skirts and cute sandals again! As usual Ive been browsing Etsy for handmade dresses and little girl accessories and have come upon a gem of a shop called Practical Inspirations Ill be watching this shop from now on for sure! Its mom-owned and everything in the shop is mom-made. 😉 Right now Kim (the mom behind Practical Inspirations) makes and sells cute dresses like the one Emma is wearing in the picture above AND these sweet Feel and Learn Texture Books: Cute, right? Can you believe all of the work she puts into these? Talk about a wonderful keepsake. 🙂 (And something my baby cant chew up, haha.) Practical Inspirations Summer…
Its been a long time since Ive had a makeover! I mean since my blog has had a makeover, but come to think of it I need a makeover, too. 😉 As much as I liked my previous design, I really wanted to do something different, something more personal. So I took one of my favorite recent Spring photos of Emma and added the text I wanted and here it is! The really hard part was installing it, though. And so I sent my friend Angie of Blessed Beyond Words and Angie Vinez Designs an email asking if shed help me out. Im so glad I did because she was AWESOME! She installed my header, made me a button, and even added the social icons in the top right-hand sidebar that Ive been putting off adding because I dont know html very well. I really recommend her if you need…

I love babywearing. Theres nothing more calming (for mommy and baby) than being able to carry your little one around with you. When they are tiny, you can look down at that little face and enjoy the closeness. Isaac likes to tilt his head back and smile up at me with the sweetest, happiest little grin Ive ever seen on a babys face. I just love wearing my baby! Ive been able to try quite a few different types of carriers including slings, front carriers, hip carriers, and wraps. It seems that each carrier has its strengths and weaknesses, but what matters most to me is comfort. My first carrier was an inexpensive one purchased at Target. I wore it twice and vowed never to do so again babywearing was definitely not my favorite thing to do back then. Oh, the pain! Once your baby gets past a certain weight…
This is not a sponsored post I just HAD to share this site with you! I signed up about 6 months ago but didnt give it a try then well, a couple of weeks ago a new deal site (Tippr) had a ThredUp special for $5 I was able to get a 6-month PRO membership and a free box! So I ordered my first box and within a couple days received it. It was a box of toys (yes, you can swap toys, too!) for Emma, something I wanted to save and give her for her birthday. The listing was for beanie babies, as many as could be stuffed in the flat rate box, and the awesome sender managed to stuff 21 of them into the box! You can bet that was a fun box to open. 😉 Since then, Ive picked and received four more boxes, all of them…
Little Isaac is two months old now! He likes to lie on his playmat and play with the crinkle toy I made him! to sit in his Bumbo and play with his toys. to watch his sister whiz by him 20 times a day He also likes: To play with daddy! (He REALLY gets excited when he sees him!) To be carried around by mommy. To take walks in the Ergo (my, thats a comfortable carrier!) He hates hates HATES: Tummy time! Im having so much fun with this little guy. Hes a great baby! He would love to be held 24/7 but will tolerate being put down once in awhile as long as hes entertained by someone or something. Hes not easygoing when it comes to falling asleep anywhere, though he cries when hes tired and then wants to fall asleep in my arms or in his swing. I…
I am SO excited about this giveaway! Im a huge fan of Harry Potter, both the books and the movies. Can you believe were nearing the end of the series already? Im going to be sad when its all over, but at the same time cant wait to see and own them all! They just keep getting better and better it seems. I go to every HP movie multiple times when it comes out in theatres, but Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1is the one and only movie I wasnt able to get to the theatres to see (due to the lack of a babysitter). I was so disappointed! But its made me even more excited for the DVD and blu-ray release. And guess what? Its finally HERE! On Friday, April 15, Harry Potter fans all over the world will be RUNNING to their local stores to buy…
When I was a kid, I had a special chair of my very own. In a world of adults, I was thrilled with this miniature version of my parents chairs and sat in it as often as I could. I loved it! Now I have my own little girl and she has a mini folding chair that is just her size. She feels just the same way about it as I did when I was a child she enjoys having her own little chair to sit in. Another thing that little ones love is having a table that is their own height. You see these small tables and chairs at preschools and church nurseries because they are so convenient for kids and keep the accidents down to a minumum. And yes, accidents do happen when kids sit at adult-sized tables Emma has fallen off of our chairs more than once…
Truth Be Told, a new family movie starring Candace Cameron Bure premieres on Fox on April 16 at 8/7 central! I was so excited when I saw that Candace, who plays one of the daughters on the TV series Full House (one of my favorite when I was a kid) is in this family movie. Shes a great actress! The movie sounds entertaining and funny, too: When leading marriage counselor Annie Morgan (Candace Cameron Bure) is offered an opportunity to host a relationship talk show, she jumps at the chance. But fearful that being single might ruin her big break, she conspires with an old college friend and recent widower, Mark Crane (David James Elliott), to pose as a married couple with kids. Their story starts to unravel when Annie and Mark join her eccentric soon-to-be boss (Ronny Cox) for a weekend at his ranch in New Mexico. Comical misunderstandings…
I asked this question on Facebook and had such inspiring responses that Im really excited about making up an Easter basket for Emma now. 🙂 Why not try something different this year and fill the baskets with something that will last and will get kids excited about getting outside? Its SPRING, that means warmer weather and sunshine and being able to play in the dirt again! 🙂 So here are some of the AWESOME suggestions from my amazing readers: Play-Doh Frisbee Butterfly/Bug Net Plant Seeds Gardening Gloves Hot Wheels Moon Sand Sidewalk Chalk Bubbles Puzzles or Mini Games Silly Putty Any of these things would make for a great Easter basket, dont you agree?
