I really am not that into Halloween, but I cant resist the carving of the pumpkins! On Saturday, I requested that my husband carve our pumpkin, but I wanted something a little more elaborate than last years funny face. I was inspired by the carriage pumpkin lantern found via Pinterest (of course) at Create With Your Hands. When I pulled the picture up and told my honey that I want this, he said, Are you kidding? I woke up at 2 a.m. to a screaming child. After I had fed him and put him back to sleep, I found that being screamed at in the face while frantically trying to find that elusive pacifier had jarred me into wakefulness. So, of course, I got on the computer. Wordle.net was sitting there, waiting for me to create some word art. Edited to add: Emma told me this morning matter-of-factly that Seahorse is NOT a boy he is a girl. Apparently we just have the he/she his/hers mixed up. 😉 Emma has had one of these Fisher Price Glow Seahorses ever since she was born. You squeeze his tummy and it glows and plays a few different lullabies. She has had it so long now that she cant imagine life without it it goes with her everywhere. She treats him like her little baby she doesnt play with dolls but if she did shed treat it like she does this guy. She rocks him, feeds him, kisses his owies, and pushes him in a stroller. If youre not into pumpkin carving, this is the project for your family! Its fun, inexpensive, and rewarding. I found these baby pumpkins at our local Grocery Outlet for 79 cents each arent they cute? I couldnt resist. They seemed to be calling out to me, Take me home and make me beautiful! Or at least, have some fun. 🙂 Emma had a complete blast painting these. Then, when I brought out the glitter. Well, she was in heaven. This was her first time using glitter. I think the glitter was just what the pumpkins needed to become a work of art! Isaac had no teeth or signs of teething until 8 1/2 months, when all four front teeth (top and bottom) started to come in at once. Youch! Lately weve been dealing with a LOT of teething symptoms drooling, clinging to my leg, whining, chewing on everything, clinging to my leg, groaning, not wanting to be put down, crying, and yes, clinging to my leg. I forgot what it was like to be constantly tripping over a baby! Anyway, nighttime seems to be the worst time, when he wants to be held constantly and screams like hes dying when I put him down. Seriously, if I even start to lean down to put him in a sitting position on the floor he becomes a screeching banshee. Emma loves being outside and exploring our yard. Its become such a jungle lately that its no wonder she finds treasures galore! Since our last buggy adventure, though no more bugs. Emma, my 3-year-old, is now officially addicted to this awesome online 3D virtual world: JumpStart. She started playing it about a month ago, when I signed her up for a free membership. She loves StoryLand, the world created especially for preschoolers! StoryLand is the only world that you navigate completely by clicking the mouse rather than the arrow buttons, and since Emma has mastered the mouse already, it was nice that she could jump in and start playing immediately, not having to learn the arrow controls (until later). There are a ton of things for her to do in StoryLand, including listen to records at a jukebox, watch short videos, decorate her own house, grow flowers, play games in the schoolhouse (seen below), and much more! Something about Fall. I start making things, baking, and beautifying my home (as much as I can) even more than usual. 🙂 Do you get that bug, too?
