Polar Bear Coat(The ultimate costume accessory. Crazy! And no, its not real fur or a real bear.) Little Red Riding Wolf(Look closely and youll see she even has a tail!) Instant Pumpkinhead Costume (Hilarious idea but might be a bit chilly for October?) Handmade Restraint Mask(This is truly frightful.) Metal Air Jordan Costume(I couldnt leave this out. It was handmade from scrap metal and can apparently easily be broken down and shipped.) Knitted Purple Wig(This could be awesome with a modern costume the hair of the future? Never a bad hair day again? Or always a bad hair day, depends on how you look at it. 😉 Gameboy Tube Dress(I dont think they could have made this thing any smaller. Geeky though!) Unicorn Wig With Silk Braid(Just wow.) Scaled Digitigrade Legs(These are made of faux leather or suede your choice and are creepily realistic. They make up the focus of…
Oh. So. True. Knowing that the question is useless hasnt stopped me from using it on my 3-year-old, though. And something like taking all of the wipes out of the wipes container doesnt usually make me ask why, usually. I know why she thought it would be fun! And the only time Ive seen her use excessive wipes is when shes making her stuffed animal a bed made completely of wipes. *grimace* I ask why when its something that causes me a lot of extra work or when she knows its wrong but does it anyway. Why oh why did she scribble all over her social security card when I stupidly left it out on the table when there was blank white paper she could have drawn on nearby? Why oh why wont she wear the outfit I set out for her? And why did she pull all of Isaacs…
We dont have cable television Ive been a subscriber of Netflix for years now. Although it gives me access to many TV shows I really like, I never get to see anything until it comes out on DVD and some shows like Next Food Network Star I dont get to see at all. And when it comes to shows like Doctor Who (my FAVORITE) well, I really wish I could see the episodes as they are being aired! If youre considering the pros and cons of getting cable or satellite television, youll appreciate this guest post brought to you by Satellite TV Family: Television is something that is always expanding, as new shows are often created more quickly than old shows can disappear. One of the unfortunate results of this general situation is that basic cable no longer has the capacity to hold all, or even most of the popular…

I love the Autumn its a time for cozy sweaters, furry boots, and warm scarves! I dont usually think of skirts in this kind of weather, but I saw a sweater skirt on Pinterest that I loved so I decided to see if I could find one in-store near me. No such luck and the only skirt that I liked was $60. That figures, right? So what did I do? I came home, got back on Pinterest, and began searching for sweater skirt tutorials. It looked so ridiculously easy to make one that I whipped out my sewing machine, found a sweater in a bag that was going to Goodwill, and started on my own sweater skirt. Of course, I didnt take pictures of the process because I wasnt sure how it would turn out. But after I finished mine and was so happy with it, I pulled out a…
Ive been enamored with Calico Critters playsets ever since I first discovered them online. These fuzzy animal families feature moveable limbs, intricately detailed accessories, and a sweet background story that encourages imaginative play. Thanks to International Playthings, we now have our first playset in a collection that I hope will expand through the years! Margaret and Halleys Dress Shop includes Mother Margaret, Baby Halley (isnt she adorable?), a fancy dress (and matching hat!) for each, the two dress forms, a handbag, hand mirror, two headbands, a portrait, and a baby toy for little Halley. Our Thoughts: We love this playset! It is so nicely made and is very durable, something I was worried about considering the fact that my 3-year-old plays with it. I think that the fact that the dolls have poseable arms and legs really adds to the fun, and I love that you can change their clothing…
If youve been following my blog for awhile, you know how I feel about Learning Resources and their educational tools for kids. If I ever found a place that sold all of their stuff in-store Id be like a kid in a candy store! Their resources are wonderful for homeschooling or just for helping your kids practice learning concepts at home. At 3, my daughter is a pre-preschooler (haha) who absolutely loves to learn. When I provide the tools, she goes crazy so why wait? One of the things were working on right now is writing, both practicing the pencil grip and writing letters. Although there are a lot of printable resources online, Im not able to find the exact words or sentences for tracing that I need words that she recognizes like dog, cat, mom, and her own name, Emma. This is where the Learning Resources Alphabet Tracing Stamps…

I cant believe were at 8 months already. But really, I cant keep saying that every month can I? 😉 Isaacs personality is coming out with every new day its so much fun watching him grow up! He has such a sense of humor and gives me the quirkiest looks when hes doing something naughty. Hell touch something he knows we dont want him to touch, then look back over his shoulder with a grin and raise his eyebrows. Its so darn cute! Its his expressions that really get me, he has so many of them! He has a temper, too. Boy can he throw a tantrum. He falls onto his back and kicks the floor, screaming. It aint pretty, folks. He is a mamas boy and loves to be held by me (ALL the time) though he doesnt exactly prefer me over my husband. He absolutely loves my husband,…
