Boy was I BUSY over the weekend! On Saturday I threw a baby shower for my friend Erin, who is a week ahead of me in her pregnancy and due on the 12th. It was a lot of fun we celebrated with a few close friends and enjoyed eating cucumber and cream cheese tea sandwiches (made by moi!), cookies, and cupcakes. Then Erin opened her presents and she got some great loot. 🙂 I must throw TERRIFIC induction showers because guess what? That night she went into labor! She now has a beautiful baby boy. Ive loved Baby Einsteins learning DVDs for babies and toddlers ever since I was first introduced to them. Why? Because my daughter loves them and still does at almost 3! The DVDs are designed especially for parents and their little ones to watch together, to be used as an interactive learning tool. In the same way you read a board book with your baby, pointing out colors and shapes and things as you go, your child gets the same experience with a DVD. I have a list of projects I wanted to sew for Isaac before hes born, but was disappointed to find that I never really had a lot of energy during my pregnancy for sewing. Its also hard to sew with a toddler around, so I would try to plan for it after she had gone to bed only to find that I needed to go to bed at the same time. Or fall onto the couch, exhausted from the day.
