I found this Jeep double stroller for $25.00 at a garage sale score! Ive been using it every day, I love it! It was a total chance find, too. I wasnt looking for a stroller or even garage sale-ing exactly. I was out for a walk with a friend and we happened across it. You can imagine my excitement at finding it, though. 🙂 Its been a blessing! Anyone else have a double stroller like this? Or maybe you have an awesome garage sale find to tell me about?
With baby #1 (Emma), my creativity when it came to homemade baby food didnt go any further than homemade rice cereal. I halfheartedly tried making and freezing it once but I didnt have any containers with lids and it ended up not looking very appetizing, so I threw it out. Its easy enough making up rice cereal every day anyway. However, if you want to make a variety of foods for your baby, it can be a good idea to make it ahead and freeze it to thaw out later for your babe when you dont have time to cook. Then you wont find yourself needing back-up baby food jars (and my baby doesnt seem to like the food in jars as much as homemade, even the organic baby food). Im planning on making baby purees over the next couple of weeks and look forward to sharing the journey with…
Me: You are up waaay too late. Me: But its Friday night Me: But youre very tired. And you know the baby is going to wake up crying as soon as your head hits the pillow. Me: But it was worth having all of this ALONE time. Remember? Remember when you had alone time? Me: Yes, it was wonderful. And boring. You should sleep while you have the chance. Me: True. It was boring. I loooove my kids to pieces. I know I should sleep, but I want to have fun, too. Me: Is it fun feeling like a zombie during the day because you stayed up too late? Me: Are you my mother? Do you deny me a few hours at night to do whatever I want for awhile? My brain is actually waking up! I didnt know I still had a brain! Me: Youre still being stupid, regardless….
Mickey Mouse has always been my favorite Disney character, especially the classic versions! In the past, Ive mourned the fact that it wasnt easier to buy Disney DVDs featuring the cartoons I grew up with but now theyre available! The Have a Laugh series has cartoons starring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Pluto, and Goofy. I was ecstatic when I found out I was going to be reviewing two of the latest Have a Laugh DVDs! I still hadnt introduced Emma to the old Disney characters. She has seen the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse shows but theyre not the same (to me). You just cant beat the classics. 🙂 Have a Laugh Volume 3: Full Episodes: Mickeys Delayed Date The Whalers Chef Donald How to Play Baseball Pluto and the Gopher BLAMS (Edited shorts) Golf Cooking Glider Re-MICKS (music video/cartoons) Dance Party featuring I Gotta Feeling Have…
I was a little late picking winners I apologize for that. Its been a crazy last few weeks what with my husbands hand surgeries (yes, thats surgeries PLURAL) and the kids well, being 3 and 6 months. 🙂 I just drew the winners for the TwirlyGirl, Naptime Nanny, Learning Resources Alphabet Set, Audio Memory, and Kohls Cares giveaways you can find out if youre a winner by clicking here! Im sending emails out now, so if you dont hear from me by the end of today go ahead and send me an email at kindredspiritreviews at gmail dot com. Thanks everyone, and congrats to those of you who won! 🙂
I didnt realize just how much Emma looks like me until I found this picture of myself as a child: And heres Emma Its been kind of hard to tell who looks like who since John and I look so similar both having reddish hair and hazel eyes. I had brown hair growing up with just a tinge of red. Emma has much more red in her hair than I ever did (until I was a teen and dyed it that is!). Its going to be interesting to see who the little guy looks the most like over time, too. 🙂 Do any of your kids look just like you?
Finally, the second Tom and Jerry DVD is being released and we have 14 more cartoons featuring this silly cat-and-mouse duo to enjoy! You certainly cant beat the oldies and this cartoon is no exception we never get tired of it! The episodes included on this DVD are: Tops with Pops Monster Con Tom and Jerry in the Hollywood Bowl Of Feline Bondage Saturday Evening Puss The A-Tom-Inable SnowmanSurf-bored Cat Snowbody Loves Me Duel Personality Is There a Doctor in the Mouse? Haunted Mouse The Declaration of IndependenceKitty Hawked Which Witch! Almost two hours of Tom and Jerry! We couldnt be happier with this second release, which is another favorite for Emma. We especially love Monster Con, in which Tom turns into a Werewolf cat. And Snowbody Loves Me has Emma craving cheese theres just something about these episodes that make her hungry for cheese! Must be the power of…
Isaac is 5 months old now. Where has the time gone? I cant believe were this close to half a year! In some ways it seems to have flown, and in others well, its been an exhausting 5 months, let me tell you. Sleepless nights, constant work during the day but all worth it! 🙂 I didnt do a 4-month post because last month was so crazy, what with my husband having thumb surgery twice and my parents moving back to the state. Last I updated, Isaac was rolling over tummy to back and back to tummy (at 3 months). So much has happened in the month since I updated! He is sitting up very well now and is eating solid foods. He loves his big sister, Emma, who will do absolutely anything for him, too. She is the sweetest big sister, I love to watch them together. At 3-4…
I created a playlist on YouTube with Hillsong Kids praise songs and Emma absolutely loves it! This is the first song on our playlist: Its a nice way to wake up and get moving this way -she cant help but dance. 🙂 And I love focusing our thoughts first thing in the morning on Jesus! Im shopping at
Were big VeggieTales fans, so we were excited about the release of VeggieTales LIVE! Sing Yourself Silly on DVD! This is different from the other VeggieTales releases in that it gives your child the experience of seeing the veggies perform in real life. 🙂 Bob, Larry and the whole crew are taking to the stage with the silliest Silly Song Countdown ever! This high energy song and dance spectacular takes silliness to a whole new level! But sometimes silliness just isnt enough! Archibald Asparagus prefers songs that have lessons, Mr. Lunt wants to sing about food, and Jimmy and Jerry are stuck in the 80s! But theres only so much timewill the VeggieTales crew learn the importance of sharing so that the show can go and everyone will be able to sing themselves silly? This is such a cute performance, with antics by the giant-sized veggies dancing, singing, and joking….
