Ive been having a blast going through my stash of felt this Christmas. Ive made felt garlands, stockings (which I still havent finished yet), and ornaments for my tree. I wanted to make more but havent really had the energy plus, its been hard finding the right time. Emma would love to help with these kinds of projects but since they involve the glue gun and scissors Ive had to limit her participation. Just for this year. 🙂 I found some of my inspiration for these ornaments (especially the woodland ornaments) online. I think my favorite is the bonnet girl thats the one Im planning on posting a tutorial for if I can ever get a template drawn, scanned, and posted. Have you been doing any Christmas-y crafting?
Im 34 weeks pregnant and have already gained 43 pounds. Nooooooooooo! At my last prenatal appointment, I was told to be careful and when I asked what the best way to not gain weight was the midwife told me to cut out juice and sugar. Oh sure. No problem. Thats only like taking all of the light and happiness out of my life! Okay, maybe a slight exaggeration the truth is Im not craving sugar quite so horribly as I was in the second trimester. It was BAD. I wanted it SO BAD I couldnt say no to myself. Exercise would help I started out in this pregnancy exercising regularly and doing a great job with it, but soon found myself unmotivated and just exhausted I tapered off till I wasnt doing much at all. Ive always loved animal figurines. When I was a kid I played with them constantly, and when I grew older I enjoyed setting up animal scenes on any surface I could find. But I never had anything as nicely made and detailed as Schleichs figurines! One of my favorite holiday traditions is decorating a gingerbread house. 🙂 I was so excited this year to do it with Emma! I found this kit on sale at Joann Fabrics (I know, who woulda thought?) for $8.99 so grabbed it. They also had cute little mini gingerbread village kits which Im now wishing I had grabbed instead. I can hardly refrain from squealing like a little girl, I am SO SO SO excited about this November 9 release from BBC. Its HERE! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Whoops, couldnt refrain! Theres something so magical about Fantasia its beautiful to watch, glorious to listen to, and entertaining. I hadnt seen it since I was a child, but watching it with my daughter recently I felt the same way I did when I first saw it: Spellbound. This 2-movie, 4-disc Special Collection DVD/Blu-Ray Edition contains both the original Disneys Fantasia, as well as Disneys Fantasia 2000. I actually hadnt ever seen Fantasia 2000 before I received this collection, can you believe it? I wanted to, but just hadnt gotten around to it. But wow, I LOVED it! My absolute favorite is the whale scene the graphics are quite simply breathtaking and the music is gorgeous! The special features in this set are extensive, too. When I saw that there was a new MySims game released for the Wii, I was excited. I absolutely LOVED MySims Agents I played it nonstop until I completely beat the game yes, I liked it that much. Thanks to EA Games, I was able to review MySims SkyHeroes for the Wii, released in September of this year. Thanks to BooginHead, I was recently able to test out a new product that I immediately saw was a mommy must-have: The Splat Mat! Honestly, if I had known about this awesome product earlier, I would have grabbed it because we live in a rental with carpet in the dining room. *Listening to the gasps of horror from other moms* I know, I know.
