Today I want to introduce you to Coco Bonbons, a boutique that offers a wonderful selection of clothing for both boys and girls in infant, toddler, and childrens sizes. Searching for an outfit for Emma brought me to the Coco Bonbons Spring Collection for girls, where there are a myriad of sweet dresses and jumpers, one-piece outfits, separates, and even raingear and umbrellas! I finally decided on on the Hallie Owl Collection (I have a thing for owls) and chose this outfit for Emma: Adorable, is it not? The little owl on the front is crocheted with pink yarn and features button eyes (love the owl!). I think I got this a little bit big (I asked for 18 months), but Im glad because I know shell be growing into it before I know it. You know how it goes. 😉 Still, its a super adorable outfit and comfortable for…
Are you ready to have a severe case of gotta-have-it? Im excited to introduce you to this fun line of shoes for kids Wee Squeak! Wee Squeak is so named because their shoes have a little squeaker hidden in the heel of the shoe. Theres nothing cuter than seeing your proud little one take his or her wobbly steps with a squeak-squeak-squeak believe me, Ive seen it and its adorable! That little that is my daughters is even more endearing when you can hear each step as well as see them. Ive heard some parents say that it might get a bit annoying if you have to hear all the squeaking all the time, but I dont find it annoying at all plus, as my daughter gets faster itll be nice to know that she cant sneak off without me hearing her getaway attempt. 😉 So not only are these…
If youve been following my blog, youve probably seen my Boutique NRF NY giveaway post and have therefore already been drooling over the lovely and whimsical dresses you found there! If youre not following my blog well, youre missing out! 🙂 But back to the boutique. Boutique NRF NY features a stunning array of applique dresses, without a doubt some of the most attractive designs Ive come across. The genius behind these designs is Alev, New York designer extraordinaire and mommy to one little girl she works on these treasures morning to night (literally!). She also has a wonderful blog, one that I recommend you follow. Im always oohing and aahing over her new designs there! Alev graciously agreed to send me a size 12-18 months dress for Emma to review, and also took the time to answer my grueling interview questions. Thank you, Alev! 🙂 Well start with the…
Its time for a review of the wonderful Twist Bamboo Cloths and Bamboo and Linen Flowers Tote! Thanks to Bambooya for giving me the opportunity to review these great products! Twist Bamboo Cloths Review: These cloths are made of 82% bamboo fiber and 18% corn. They are a very interesting texture they actually feel like a heavier and softer version of paper towels theyre that light! The difference is that theyre cloth (obviously) and so much stronger. I even tested it by trying to tear it apart (yes, I tried to use my powers of destruction). They dont tear apart, no worries. 😉 Im fascinated by this cloth. First of all, I love that its primarily made of bamboo, which is known for being antibacterial, odor-resistant, super absorbent, and 100% biodegradeable can you think of anything better to use in your kitchen, bathroom, anywhere in the house? Before I came…

I was sick over the weekend, so getting over that, and Im trying to figure out how Im going to fit this 30-day challenge into my schedule. I think I might have to sacrifice some sleeping or blogging time. Havent decided which yet. 😉 I know Im not sacrificing my morning walks, those are definitely nice and I love the fresh air (and the company!). So Ive started the 30-day challenge although I didnt go through all of the basic exercises last night I skipped about the last four because I was getting tired and I had already done those exercises and just wanted to see what it was all about. I need to weigh myself using Wii Fit today so I…
I found out about Layla Grace through the Baby Wears Prada newsletter and wanted to share with you lets be praying for and supporting this little girl and her parents: My 17 month old daughter, Layla, has always been a healthy child, 80th percentile for weight, a great eater and a great sleeper. She is sweet as pie and a little cuddle monkey (she wont let you put her down!). She has a very advanced vocab for her age and is super aware of her surroundings. Layla had a great 15 month checkup. At around 16 months her sleep habits and appetite started to change and she started to become more irritable. At the time we thought we were dealing with a picky eater. Beginning of May Layla woke up one morning with a swollen eye. We took her to the doctor and she was treated for an ear infection…
You may have heard about SoulBaby already if youre a follower of my blog Im running a giveaway for a pair of custom baby shoes from SoulBaby right now. Besides being super cute, you have the option of having them lined with bamboo fabric! Sweet! I wasnt able to post a review at the time of the giveaway because Nicole of SoulBaby was making my little Emma a special pair of shoes (lined with bamboo, of course!). Well Ive received them and am ready to share with you my thoughts! My first impressions: Super cute, soft, love the dots! These shoes are made of wool and lined with bamboo I love the bamboo lining because itll keep little feet comfy and warm in cold weather. In summer she can go without socks and I dont have to worry about stinky, sweaty feet. The sole is non-slip leather suede, very soft…
*Look for new extra entries opportunities for the Posh Pads giveaway at the end of this post* Today I have an AWESOME guest review on Posh Pads by Margaret from Creative Madness: In case you missed the memo, I am currently 29 weeks pregnant, with about 11 weeks to go. I am so eager to meet my little girl, but goodness me do I even know my body anymore? Some days I sincerely wonder When, my Mama blogging buddy Lindsey from A Kindred Spirits Thoughtsasked me if I would do a guest review for her Bamboo for Baby event, I thought sure, that would be great, one less thing for me to buy, yet to enjoy. To find out even more about Posh Pads, see Lindseys original Posh Pads Giveaway post (giveaway ends June 5, so hurry and get your entries in before then!). So, in the mail I received…
Bonemans Daughters by Ted DekkerCenter Street, April 2009Rating: (5/5) A serial killer looking for the perfect daughter. A father who wants a second chance with his family. A daughter who only ever wanted a father who loved her. How far would you go to save your child? So many layers to BoneMans Daughters, so much to say about it. Ive put off writing this review because the book was so complex, so powerful, so disturbing (on so many levels), that I wasnt sure what to say or how to say it. So Im just going to tell you what my impressions were as I read it, and how I felt at the end. I didnt love this book at first. It takes focus, something I dont exactly have at this moment in my life (with a one-year-old). It also concentrates largely on issues that can be very troubling to anyone…
