Happy First Birthday, Little One!

Today is Emmas first birthday. I cant believe it. Its been quite a journey, thats for sure. A wonderful, emotional, joy-filled rollercoaster. Ive been scared to death (whoever made up the term died a thousand deaths had children). Ive felt that I was going crazy from lack of sleep. Ive spent countless hours blogging the journey and hounding Google, looking for information that would make raising this demanding little baby easier. Ha! If anything it almost complicates it. Mom blogs saved me hearing it from another moms mouth, that Im normal, was the best medicine. Its all been worth it! Two years ago, before Emma, I had a quiet life with my husband and a clean house. Okay, Ive never kept a perfectly clean house (clean but not always uncluttered), but in comparison it was clean. Now there are cheddar cheese goldfish on the kitchen floor. Toys in the living…

Beyond This Moment by Tamera Alexander ♥ Book Review

Beyond This Moment Tamera AlexanderBethany House Publishers, April 2009Rating: (5/5) Secrets. Lies. Betrayal. Beyond This Moment is an exciting, moving tale of a young woman, Molly Whitcomb, who is forced to leave all she knows and cares for in the world. Her life, her esteemed position as Professor of Romance Languages at a University. All because of one mistake. My Thoughts: I LOVED Beyond This Moment! Another one of Tamera Alexanders best! Timber Ridge and how it felt to be a woman in that time in history comes to life, the characters are solid and written with heart, and Mollys struggles (both spiritually and emotionally) are so much more than just words on a page. Molly Whitcomb is a compelling character. I felt everything she felt as she tried to hide her terrible secret beneath lie after lie after lie we both knew it would catch up with her, but…
