Songs for Saplings: ABC’s {CD Review}

I am so pleased and excited to have discovered Songs for Saplings music! Although I came across them quite by accident (through another blogger), I had already been thinking about finding some good, God-focused music for my toddler. I grew up listening to songs that kept me encouraged as a child positive, cheerful songs that helped me know who God was and why He loved me. I want that for my little girl, and I have found it! And this music is even better than what I had as a child. 🙂 We create lively, fun songs that attempt to deliver the deepest of Biblical truth in a format that your children will love to listen to. What makes Songs for Saplings music so wonderful? I would love to tell you! 1. Each song is sung by children with the sweetest voices imaginable. Theyre a delight to listen to and…

Sweet Valentine’s Day Tutorials {Creative Moms Blog Hop!}

I have seen so many wonderfully inspiring Valentines crafts around the blogosphere, I just had to share! Also, Ive done nothing crafty lately. lol Actually, I lied. Check out these crreeeeeative photos I took of myself on Friday! Ha! Those photos were taken for an earring review/giveaway I have going this week. Anyway. Back to creativity. Seriously, I LOVE to craft (sew, crochet, scrapbook, etc), but Ive been very uninspired. Possibly because theres no room or time to do anything creative in my tiny apartment lately my little one is really a handful, making messes left and right and demanding my attention every waking moment. But Ill save that for another blog post. 😉 Not being able to craft myself doesnt stop me from keeping track of projects I want to do and plan to do in the future! Right. So lets get to it! Inspiring Valentines Day DIY Projects…

The Ultimate Cloth ~ A Mom’s Thoughts

I have to admit that Im not as green as I would like to be. I use paper towels, and a lot of them. I have a kid, and kids make messes ALL the time. I hadnt really thought too much about trying to cut down on my paper towel usage because theres no way I wanted to use a dishtowel or even homemade crocheted dishrags to clean up messes. They get dirty and smelly way too fast. Paper towels are convenient and you can throw them away and they dont smell. I thought that was my only option. Until now! Recently I was given the opportunity to test The Ultimate Cloth. I wasnt sure if I would like it or not, but decided it was worth a try. Im glad I did try it, because it is awesome! Havent heard of The Ultimate Cloth? Youre missing out, my friend!…

Eco-Me Natural Do-it-Yourself Cleaning, Body, Baby, and Pet Kits

Did you know that one of the least expensive ways of going green is to make your own natural cleaning products, beauty products, baby products, and even pet products? I did some research on the internet a couple of months ago and found a ton of great natural cleaning recipes. I was so inspired, I made a special trip to the grocery store and bought ingredients like vinegar and baking soda – those two products are wonderful for cleaning and disinfecting! The Problem. Unfortunately, the vinegar I bought is still under my sink waiting for me to one day make something with it. lol I just couldnt get started couldnt find the containers and spray bottles I wanted to use, and couldnt seem to make time to look up the recipes again. And well, I hate the smell of vinegar! Yuck. I think that was part of it. 😉 The…

Executees Custom Swarovski Crystal Apparel Review {Giveaway Closed}

Update: After I washed my hoodie from Executees, a bunch of the crystals fell off. I dont know what caused it, but I was really disappointed. If this happens to you, make sure you contact Tracy, because they do replace faulty items when purchased. Have you heard about Executees? This company is family-owned and -run! Tracy Wright is a mom, real estate broker, and the one who decided to create Executees. She wanted to offer Swarovski crystal apparel that is high-quality and custom-made and so she did. What an inspiration! Swarovski crystals arent your regular run-of-the-mill, cheap bling. These crystals are genuine, and unique because of their highly reflective qualities. They sparkle and shine on the clothing when you move, and reflect many different colors. Youll get an idea of what Im talking about when you see my photos, but really, its something a photo cant completely capture. Other custom…

Share your Creativity! {Creative Moms Blog Hop}

Hey, everyone! Sorry for missing last week I completely forgot until it was too late. Im thinking of changing the blog hop date from Monday to another day since I seem to have a hard time getting everything together to get it up by Monday morning. What would be easiest for you? Im open to suggestions! So did you do anything crafty last week or over the weekend? Did you make something cool online, write up a great post, take a lovely photo youre proud of, try out a new recipe, or use your creative genius to teach your child something new in a fun way? Do share! As to what Ive been up to, I wrote up a separate post on how to make your own homemade baby wipes and natural wipe solution. Since I did it all myself, I think it counts as a craft. 😉 Now check…

How to Make Homemade Disposable Baby Wipes and Natural Wipe Solution

Last month I was driven to find a natural alternative to regular store-bought baby wipes mainly because my daughter didnt seem to like the wipes I was using (the Target brand). She constantly grabbed at herself down there while I tried to wipe her (trying to stop me, I believe), cried pitifully, and generally gave me a hard time about it. At first I thought she was just being difficult (shes always been restless and doesnt like being still), but it didnt take me long to figure out that they were irritating her. There was no rash, but something was bothering her. This is probably TMI, but my ultimate test was using them on myself to see if they bothered me. And they did! I couldnt help but feel bad maybe I should be trying these products on myself before using them on my babys sensitive skin. But at least…

I am SO excited about the Masterpiece Classics version of Emma airing on PBS January 24 February 7! They say its going to be fiercely funny Im so excited! If you miss the airing on TV, dont cry, scream and gnash your teeth (as I would) itll be available to watch online here on January 25th!
