The Fun Fort from The Happy Kid Company! What kid doesnt love to make forts? Emma and I have made a couple before, but they were definitely not durable they fell down after 10 minutes or less. Maybe its my fort-building skills they must be nonexistent. 😉 Try to keep a fort up for a 3-year-old with chairs, blankets, shoes to keep things in place, and youll be frustrated. These were so easy to make! First, I used a free printable nativity from Hart of the Mountain Studio. They were meant to be finger puppets, but I wanted to do something different We printed it out on cardstock, laminated it with my trusty laminator (which I LOVE), cut the pieces out then hot glued magnets to the backs. The second season of Shaun the Sheep is finally available on DVD! YES! If you read my blog regularly, you know that my whole family adores this series. My husband is the one who introduced me to Wallace and Gromit, and I in turn introduced him to Shaun and his sheep friends, pig enemies, and the farmer and his dog. This really is an addictive show, and totally hilarious! How the writers were able to come up with a show that has essentially no dialogue but is so entertaining, I dont know. They must be geniuses. This 2-DVD set includes all 40 episodes from season 2 in one set! I really like this a lot better than buying DVDs separately, its nice to be able to have all of the episodes on these two DVDs. Am I the only one who has a problem finding cold weather footwear that actually stays on a babys feet, keeps his or her toes cozy and warm, and is easy to put on? Leather shoes are usually too thin or leave a chilly gap between the hem of my sons pants and the top of the shoe, and baby boots well, I havent been able to find any that he and I like and that are comfortable. I cant tell you how hard it is to tug boots on a toddlers feet when they dont understand how to help, either. Its been a total pain this winter so far weve hardly even been outside in the cold weather this year! But the problem of not having comfortable, appropriate, easy-to-put-on, warm shoes or boots for Isaac is now a problem of the past, thanks to Stonz Wear! Check him out…
The Christmas season is here, and with it the stress of trying to make deadlines, grabbing last-minute presents, checking our lists (twice) to make sure everything has been completed before its too late, and sometimes the true meaning of Christmas can get lost in the shuffle. Im trying to keep the focus where it needs to be, so Ive been reading Emma books, watching movies with her, and doing activities with her that teach her the story of Jesus birth. Time to make some clay ornaments! No, its not too late, and yes you CAN do it! 🙂 Your kids will adore you if you do! What youll need: 2 Cups Flour 1 Cup Salt 2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil 1 Cup Water Glitter Glue Baking Utensils & Dishes Instructions: First, mix together all of the dry ingredients and vegetable oil in a bowl. Slowly add the 1 cup of water and mix together until its a dough. Add a little flour and knead. Roll out dough to 3/4 thick, cut out shapes (dont forget the hole for hanging!), and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, 40 minutes. Let cool.
