Handmade Dough Keepsake Ornaments (Quick and EASY How-To!)

Time to make some clay ornaments!
No, its not too late, and yes you CAN do it! 🙂 Your kids will adore you if you do!

What youll need:

2 Cups Flour
1 Cup Salt
2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 Cup Water
Glitter Glue
Baking Utensils & Dishes

Instructions:

First, mix together all of the dry ingredients and vegetable oil in a bowl. Slowly add the 1 cup of water and mix together until its a dough. Add a little flour and knead. Roll out dough to 3/4 thick, cut out shapes (dont forget the hole for hanging!), and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, 40 minutes. Let cool.

We used glitter glue to decorate ours I had a package from the dollar store and it worked well!

Thread yarn, string, or ribbon through the holes and tie the ends, and youre done!

We had a lot of fun with these!

Its nice to know that these are made out of all natural ingredients (except for the glitter glue) if you have little ones theyll be very tempted to taste these cookie-like creations. 😉

Thanks to Craft-O-Maniac for the idea and original recipe! I think the only thing I changed was I didnt use nearly as much salt (because I read the recipe wrong). It still turned out for me though. 🙂
