Is there anything more exciting than waking up in the morning and seeing SNOW? Especially when you thought you wouldnt get any snow this winter (I gave up hoping after Christmas) The first day it did stick but I wasnt able to get a good picture before it melted. But later I took the kids out to play in the snow flurries. Isaac wasnt sure what to think of it at first Emma immediately knew what to do. Run, face into the wind and snow flakes. Try to catch them on her tongue. Watch them melt in her hands. I loved watching her! Isaac could see he was missing out so he did his best to take part. 🙂 That was a really fun moment. 🙂 Then, we went inside, and the whining began as they I peeled off their wet clothes. *sigh*

But Will It Work? We live in a two-bedroom house and up until now Isaac has slept in his playard, either in the living room or my room. We collapse it and move it wherever it needs to be its been a pain, to say the least. Now that Isaac is getting older (almost a year!), Im considering putting the kids in the same room. The reason that hasnt happened yet is that we were planning on moving into a bigger house, but thats still going to be a couple months off and Isaac is starting to give me a hard time at night because he knows hes in the same room with me. That little head pops up over the edge of his playard and he starts wailing at me at various times in the night its not fun! I know hes waking up just because he knows Im…
I saw Real Steel in theaters and wow. It was awesome! I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed it I originally went for my husbands sake, not so sure it was something I wanted to see. Im so glad he made me go (ha), because it was very worth experiencing in theaters! I wanted to see it again immediately after it was over it was that good. The main reasons I loved it: Hugh Jackman (He had me in X-Men as Wolverine!) Its set in the not-too-far future, but the future nonetheless. I love imaginative futuristic movies! Robots! Way cool. The actors did an amazing job and the movie is very well-directed. No complaints there! The movie has a lot of heart, plenty of action, and isnt predictable. That makes a great movie! What its aboutSometime in the not-too-distant future, boxing has been outlawed and replaced by fighting…
You know those glass jars you get when you buy pasta sauces or jam? Yeah, I keep all of those. I actually love to drink water out of jars I swear it tastes better. But my cupboard was getting crowded, so I decided it was time to do something fun with them. So I pulled them out, grabbed some of Emmas paints, water, and paintbrushes, and said, There ya go, honey. Have fun! Oh my word, this is fun for a 3-year-old. Okay, it was fun for me, too. I may or may not have split the jars up evenly so we could both paint. 😉 We put tea lights inside each one (the big jar actually fit three of them!) and turned the lights off to enjoy the show. Emma loved it! Ready to dig into your cupboards for some glass jars? If you dont have any, I recommend…
Last year, when Emma turned 3 (in May), we started having a daily preschool time. I was inspired by awesome bloggers who are teaching their preschoolers at home and blogging their journey, and even sharing free printables for preschoolers! So I searched, I printed, I laminated, I got excited about getting started. But I really had no good system for getting started. I tried making daily schedules ahead of time, but it was so time-consuming WAY too time-consuming for a mom with a new baby. I pushed on. We had fun, but everything was scattered and I had no idea where anything was or what I wanted to do that day. I just grabbed things out of my very messy school drawers and let Emma do what she wanted. And you know, that worked fine then, because Emma was just learning about school and didnt have much of an attention…
I love neckwarmers. Neckwarmers are stylish, cozy, and hassle-free! Mom-owned Etsy shop, The Windfall Tree, is one place you can look for crocheted neckwarmers, fingerless gloves, scarves, and much more! The mom behind these creations is Kristy Gordanier, mom of 3 who works full-time in the medical field but still manages to keep sewing and crocheting (and selling!) her creations, make delicious meals from scratch, and find time to play with her kids. She is a supermom! I have the green neckwarmer in the photo at the top of this post and I love it! Its so cute with its chunky yarn and big button closure. The yarn is soft and its super comfy. I just custom ordered another one for me and one for Emma, too I want it for her so she can stay warm while riding her bike this winter. I tried a regular scarf but that…

Okay, these arent necessarily just for adults but I love to color and these really inspired me. Find more coloring pages at:KarensWhimsy.com, Coloring Pages for Kids, and Princess Coloring Pages! If youre looking for a specific theme, I would check Pinterest first, then search Google Images. 🙂 You have to be kind of careful with Google Images, though I have been led to sites that want to give me a virus before. Nothing scarier than trying to click out of a stupid window that wont let you go! Tell me, do you like to color? When is the…
