Needing rental assistance? It was only a few weeks ago that I was on the hunt for the perfect house to rent, and boy was it tough! I, as the person whose idea it was to move in the first place, was in charge of finding places to look at. I know that some of the best ways to find a place are looking online, in newspaper classifieds, and driving around, so I did all of the above but when it came to looking for a place online, I felt kind of lost. I spent so much time online trying to figure out where people were putting their Houses For Rent ads. But I never did find the motherload. I tried every search term I could think of in Google to bring up listings that would help me, but that was pretty much a waste of time. LOTS of time….
This weeks Small Talk Six topic is Six Movies That Make You Cry What a great topic! Its always interesting to see which movies make others cry and why and if they like the movie or not. So heres my list: 1. Lassie Dont laugh. When I was a kid I teared up when Lassie fell into the water and the boy that owned her called, Lassie! Lassie! and cried when he thought she had drowned. Of course she comes back later. Sorry if I ruined that for you. 😉 I owned collies growing up so maybe that was part of it, lol. 2. Mona Lisa Smile The character Kirsten Dunst plays has a heartbreaking situation, and I cried for her. Awesome movie, though! 3. Castaway I hate this movie! How dare it not be happily ever after. *huff* Of course I cried. 4. Little Women Loooove Little Women. But…
Tatutina is one of those online gift shops I cant seem to get enough of! They carry the best kind of gifts, too unique, useful, and with a cheery handpainted look for you and your kids! But its their boxes that I truly love, because not only are they super cute theyre perfect for keeping stuff in! And they have a box for pretty much everything you could want: recipe boxes, dog treat boxes, take-out menu boxes, baby keepsake boxes, and memory boxes. My favorites are the baby memory boxes, because you can put your own photos in them! Tatutina sent me a Black and White Memory Box to review, and it is lovely! Especially after I put one of my favorite photos of Emma in it: I have this special box in a place that displays it nicely and it also holds all of Emmas photos, some of her…

I am SO happy with my new house! I had no idea I would feel so different moving into a house after living in an apartment for six years. I didnt realize I would love it. I havent liked a place Ive lived for so many years this is such a blessing! Here are some moving in pictures: Emma decorating her new room You cant really see it, but shes putting window clings up she loooves these! Our tub was clogged when we moved in (ugh) so when Emma woke up wet I had to give her a bath in the kitchen sink. She loved it! lol I was able to hang up my beautiful suncatcher in the kitchen. 🙂 Thanks, mom! Emma and her best friend, Melody. Melody and her mommy Erin kept us company and helped so much! Checking out her new yard Making friends with the trees…
I have a definite fondness for this little red-headed girl and it has everything to do with her sweet personality, awesome friends, adorable yellow walking outfit, and French accent! Its no surprise to me that she has captivated children and adults alike for over 70 years! In this upcoming DVD release of The Madeline Movie: Lost in Paris, Madeline finds herself in a place shes always dreamed of she learns from a man who says he is her long-lost uncle that she has a family! Her dreams of having a real family are about to come true for this little orphan. Her uncle will take her to go live with them and have a wonderful life full of love, just what shes always wanted! Madeline is sad to leave her beloved friends and Miss Clavel, but how can she resist the lure of a real home? So off she goes….

Why Create a Facebook Fan Page? Ive had a Networked Blogs Facebook Page for awhile now, but decided to do some research and find out if it was better to create a Facebook Fan Page for my blog as well. Networked Blogs is awesome, but with a Facebook Fan Page, you have more options for interacting, updating, and allowing fans to update and comment. I created my own Facebook Fan Page (join mine here!) recently and am thrilled with it! I hadnt realized what I was missing out on before. I can definitely recommend creating your own! What I love: You can connect to your readers/customers easily. Get the word out about your blog/products keep it interesting! 🙂 Update automatically using feeds or manual updates. There are so many awesome add-ons: Photos, Discussions, Events, Links, and much more! Theres even a place to showcase your Etsy store! You can even…

Most bloggers, at some point in their blogging career, experience burnout. I have, for sure. Burnout is horrible you dont feel motivated to write, you dont know what to write, your blog-related email inbox is intimidating, and it all feels like too much. You might seriously consider quitting, and you wonder if anyone out there really cares and if its worth it. You may absolutely love your blog and your readers, but as with anything you love that takes effort, if you dont pace yourself youll find yourself on the fast track to burnout. I would like to share some of what Ive learned in my two years of blogging. Ive fallen into the mom blogger crazy rat race before, but then I discovered that I needed an attitude change. Im writing this for you and me if I write it down then maybe itll stay in my head and…
