I recently participated in an amazing MyBlogSpark project that involved my receiving a package of goodies from BabyCenter that any pregnant or new mom would love! Before I became a mom blogger, I tracked my pregnancy using their pregnancy calendar and learned so much! Now I track Emmas progress there, too. But on to the contents of the BabyCenter package These two books are new from BabyCenter and can be purchased here. I had no idea that there were BabyCenter books, but let me tell you that these are SO nice! Not only that, but their selection of holiday photo cards is fresh, fun, and modern I had a hard time choosing one and ended up enlisting the help of trusted friends. Before I ordered, though, Minted sent me a sampling of their most popular designs so that I could see them in person. They are all beautiful! Here are some of my favorites: I eagerly went to the Minted website, uploaded my favorite photo of Emma, and began previewing it in different card designs. PetCakes Plush Pups Review

How cute are these plush toys? Theyre called PetCakes, and theyre even cuter in real life than in these pictures! Emma, a great lover of dogs, adores these soft plush pets. And no wonder, who wouldnt adore them? The PetCake pup you see here is called Randy Candy and this is what the little tag on his ear says about him, Randy Candy is a lovable mutt, scampering around playfully and taking long naps in his cupcake wrapper. Randy Candy is topped with tasty frosting and a cherry. Cute, right? We also received the other three pups available right now online and they are all equally well-made. The poodle is covered in curly fur and the shar-pei has just the right amount of wrinkles. This collectible line of stuffed cupcake pups features four different dog breeds right now, but will soon expand to kittens and adorable woodland critters like bears,…

Been Sewin’ for Baby (More Crazy Nesting)

Ive been crazy sewing the last couple of weeks! I seem to get my second wind at night when the house is silent (oh, how nice!) and there isnt a little girl demanding food, water, to watch TV, to wash her hands or brush her teeth (guess I should be happy about those), or whatever her little brain can think up to distract me from whatever I might be trying to do. Here are some of my latest creations: A burp cloth Flannel sewn onto a prefold 6-ply diaper with ribbon trim. Dont you looove my crooked stitching? I really need to be more patient. A Dino BlanketMade with strips of my lovely dinosaur material sewn together with some flannel strips thrown in for fun. Still a work in progress, I plan to have three layers with the backing being minky dot fabric. A reminder of why its impossible to…

Toy Story 3 is Available on Blu-Ray + DVD! (My Review)

Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, and all of our favorite Toy Story characters are back in Disney Pixars Toy Story 3! I watched this on DVD for the first time about a week ago and I LOVED it! It had me laughing and even tearing up in some parts I attributed the fact that I was near to tears to pregnancy but heard of other moms feeling the same way, so maybe I cant blame my hormones. 😉 About the Movie As Andy gets ready to leave for college, Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the rest of the gang wonder if this is the end of the line. But, when a mix up lands them in the Sunnyside Day Care Center where they meet 14 new toys, they soon discover that a wild new adventure is just beginning! Take an amazing journey with some of the most…

The Butter Bell Crock: How Did I Ever Live Without It?

This is a Butter Bell Crock, my friends. And guess what? Your kitchen NEEDS it! Im not exaggerating, either. I LOVE mine and am more than thrilled that I dont have to deal with yucky butter sticks getting too soft anymore! Whats that? You say youve never even heard of a Butter Bell Crock? Well, then! Prepare to be enlightened! How it Works Okay, I wasnt sure about this either when I first saw it. Butter in water? Wont it get wet? But it doesnt its butter after all water slides right off. 😉 And did you know this isnt a new concept? This is actually a modern version of the original French butter crock. Anyway, heres how to use it. I take a room temperature stick of butter and squish it all firmly into the lid of the crock (the fun part!), making sure there are no air bubbles,…
