Toddlers are such busybodies! Its been so hard to get photos of her face since she started walking and exploring shes so engrossed in her surroundings at all times that she hardly responds to her name! lol So I, of course, have to resort to crazy tactics that make me look silly to get her attention. Ive done jumping jacks, sung silly songs (say that five times fast), and begged, pleaded, and cried for a smile. All in vain. In this case, what finally got her attention was the word pickles! Dont ask me why. Except that well, she does love pickles. Confession: One of my downfalls is organization. Ive never been an organized person. Seriously, you should see my computer desk right now. Imagine how having a baby impacted that suddenly I needed a million little things (and big things) and I needed them NOW! Crying babies have a way of making you frantically scramble through your diaper bag, hoping to find that pacifier/bottle/snack in a split second. But does it happen? Not for me! Im kind of a mineral makeup snob. I love mineral makeup and I think its superior to any other kind of makeup! I love that it can be put on subtle, it isnt cakey, and it only works to improve skin tone and accentuate natural beauty rather than cover up in layers. Cakey makeup doesnt look good, and it certainly isnt good for your skin. Mineral makeup allows your skin to breathe. It takes time and effort to find the brand that will work for you, but its worth it! Much to my delight, recently I was given the opportunity to review the special Halloween Charlie and LolaDVD, What Can I Wear for Halloween? prepare for raving, because I adore these characters! Are you new to Charlie and Lola? I hadnt ever heard of them before being introduced by another mom blogger just last month! Its one of the only cartoons that I dont mind watching over and over (and over and OVER) with my daughter because: 1) It features a brother and sister who actually love each other and make an effort to be kind and thoughtful just the sort of people you would want hanging around your children! 2) The English accents.
