All About My Lovely Tummy Talk Deluxe Pregnancy Journal

I dont know why, but when a little baby comes into your life whether in or outside of the tummy time flies faster than ever before. Ask any mommy. From the time she found out she was pregnant to the time she gave birth, looking back on it it seems like only an instant. I think its because something is always happening. First, the nausea. Then the first notice of the bump protruding. Then the first flutter in the tummy. The crazy burst of energy during which you reorganize your house completely. The first painful kick in the ribs. It goes on and on, there is always something!

Journaling is something I did a little bit of during my first pregnancy but it was hard to stay consistent because I didnt really know what to say or who I was writing to. Now Im pregnant again with my second baby (a boy this time!) and Im constantly saying things like, Did Emma kick this hard at this stage? I cant remember!. I would love to have been more consistent with my journaling and be able to look back on that now. And then, someday my daughter will be pregnant and its inevitable that shell ask me questions. But will I be able to remember? Not likely since I can hardly remember now!

But this time I have a lovely journal, something soft and organized, attractive and detailed. It has pockets for mementos (thats what I can do with those ultrasound pictures!) and cut-outs to add a scrapbook-like feel. There are suggestions for what I should write (a letter to the baby). Five tabbed sections including Pregnancy Stories, Doctors Visits, Weekly Journaling, Baby Shower, and Birth Details. Everything you ever wanted to remember or pass on to someone you love someday is included. And the presentation is simply gorgeous! There is even a Swarovski crystal on the belly of the pregnant mommy on the cover. Beautiful.

I have the Mint Green Tummy Talk Pregnancy Journal. As an avid journaler, Im sooo pleased with the beauty of this book. The cover is soft and has a mottled suede look and feel. It is easy to write in due to it being ring-bound I like journals I can lay out flat on the table. The first page says, Memories of my pregnancy, awaiting the arrival of: _______. Dates: from _________ to _________. There are a few sheets of lovely stationery so that you and members of your family can write a letter to the baby and tuck it into a pocket.

Some of information you can fill in and journal about are:

Times and dates of pregnancy tests that were taken
A place to paste your pregnancy announcement
Food cravings and aversions
Prenatal progress reports (weight gained, babys heartbeat)
List of gifts received at the baby shower and from whom
A place to paste notes from family and friends on the scrapbook cut-outs
Labor details

Final Thoughts: This really is a delightful journal and so nicely made! It is definitely a TOP recommendation for a new mommy who has just found out shes pregnant. 🙂 If I had received this as a gift I would know that the gift-giver went out of his or her way to get me something extra special!
