Tassimo T20 Home Brewing System Review & Giveaway

Ill admit it as a mommy I depend very much on my caffeine intake to get me through the day. My caffeinated beverage of choice? Coffee! But Im very picky when it comes to coffee. In fact, I didnt think Starbucks could be beat as far as taste went until recently. But who can afford to have Starbucks as often as we want it? I sure cant.

Enter theTassimo T20 Brewbot. This beeeeautiful machine almost magically provides you with coffee in an incredibly short amount of time 60 seconds to be exact! I myself now have one, thanks to Tassimo, and I love it. Seriously, I feel so spoiled. I can start my mornings shuffling blindly from the bedroom to the kitchen and have a steaming cup of hot coffee in minutes. And were not limited to coffee, either. You can easily brew a frothy cappuccino, hot chocolate, chai latte, or tea instead!

Features Im LOVING:

How it Works:

I could sing this smart machines Its SO easy praises all day long! First, you fill the tank in the back of the T20 with water to the maximum fill line. Then you place the T-Disc (bar code side down) into the T-Disc slot at the front of machine. When you close the lid, it pierces the T-Disc. Press the button and it starts vibrating quietly, then fills your cup. When the coffee cup icon on the right above the button (see photos above) lights up, you have the option of holding down the button and adding extra liquid this is especially helpful if you find a coffee T-Disc is too strong for you.

What is a T-Disc and How Does It Work?

The TASSIMO machine works with TASSIMO Discs (T-DISCS) to ensure perfect quality beverages. Each T-DISC contains an expertly measured portion of coffee, tea, chocolate or concentrated milk. The machine reads the unique bar code printed on the T-DISC label and automatically adjusts the brewing conditions to prepare the perfect cup. Brewing occurs inside the T-DISC and flows directly from the T-DISC into the cup. You can prepare different drinks, one after the other, each of perfect quality.

How it Tastes:

My husband and I both have tried the Gevalia Signature Blend Coffee and the Starbucks Cappuccino Primo and we loved them both! The cappuccinos come out SO creamy and frothy, a result I definitely couldnt come up with on my own without a machine like this. I did add sugar to my cappuccino but I like my drinks really sweet. My husband didnt need sugar in his. Im really looking forward to trying more drinks now!

Final Thoughts:

This is really a versatile little machine. It can be used for the occasional specialty coffee or would be great to keep around for parties or get-togethers. Believe me, youll be popular as a hostess with one of these babies!

The only things that might make someone hesitate to buy this machine would be the fact that the specialty T-Discs (like hot chocolate and lattes) can be pretty spendy, and the fact that one T-Disc doesnt fill up an entire mug (unless you buy the coffee strong and add extra liquid).

Would this stop me personally from adding it to my wishlist? Definitely NOT! First of all, you can find T-Discs on sale or buy them in bulk if you want. They range in price from $5.99 on up for a package of 16 T-Discs, each T-Disc giving you one cup off coffee. For the lattes, cappuccinos, and hot chocolate, you get 8 drinks from 16 T-Discs since you combine the creamer and coffee/chocolate T-Discs to make one beverage. If you consider how much you would spend at Starbucks for a comparable beverage, youre definitely saving money (and time).

In closing, I find the Tassimo T20 a wonderful gift idea and a terrific addition to any kitchen. It is very desirable to own if you have company over often, and is just plain fun to wake up to every morning! The drinks are yummy, the T-Discs easy to acquire, and the machine is SUPER simple to use and maintain. I can happily recommend the Tassimo T20 to you!
