Road trips bring both sweet and bitter memories to my mind. When Emma was 1 1/2, we drove for 13 hours straight to visit my husbands family. We tried to be prepared but I went into it blindly having never been on a road trip with a toddler before. I brought plenty of wipes, changes of clothing, toys for Emma, and snacks. I was armed and ready or so I thought. It ended up being rather stressful, and I got a crick in my neck trying to comfort her and keep her occupied (next time I should just sit in the backseat with her!). And she got car sick. Oh that was not fun.

If I were to take her on a road trip now, I would have to bring fun new toys, games, and snacks to occupy my now-2-year-old, and I would probably have to listen to Old MacDonald Had a Farm 500 times before the trip was over. 😉 But hey, whatever works right?
