My Love For Pyrex Revealed! {And a Pyrex Prize Pack Giveaway!}

I received the most fantastic package from Pyrex! It included treasures that made me and my kitchen very happy. Ive admired the Pyrex brand since I first received some bakeware for a wedding gift, but havent purchased any for myself since.

WHY?

Now I know I should have invested in this terrific brand rather than going for the cheapest option at all times. For some reason, I assumed that Pyrex kitchen products were too expensive. But you know what? They are not! Just check out the Pyrex website for yourself and youll be pleasantly surprised at how affordable everything is! And I can tell you that their products will last a lot longer than many of the great deals I have found at Ikea or Walmart.

Some Pyrex products I have my eye on

A 4-piece metal bakeware set including muffin pan and plastic lid, medium cookie pan, and a cake/brownie pan for $33.49.

A 10-piece bake and storage set including everything in the picture below for only $28.49.

And there is much more. See, you can have all of the essentials you need and never have to use plastic again for very good prices!

Here is what I received:

– Small Spatula
– Set of Pyrex No-Leak Lid Glassware
Magnetic Measuring Spoons
– Flat Wisk
– Pinch Bowls
– Medium Grater

So what were my thoughts on these products? Read on and find out!

The Medium Grater is a container that can hold one cups worth of cheese (or whatever youre grating). It is useful for those times when you need to quickly grate some cheese for your meal, and its mess-free (nice). It also makes it easy to measure out your cheese, something I havent done EVER in the past because Im just too lazy. It has measure markers on the side so that you can stop at 2 tbs, 3 tbs, 1/3 cup, 1/2 cup, 2/3 cup, 3/4 cup, or 1 cup. It has a handy lid so that the cheese can be stored in the refrigerator, and it grates the cheese finely perfect for salads and tacos. My verdict? Sooo easy and simplifies grating in a big way. Worth the price tag of $14.00.

If measuring spoons that are connected by a ring at the end annoy you to no end as they have me in the past, youll love Pyrexs Magnetic Measuring Spoons! They stay neatly together in the drawer magnetically, so no scattered measuring spoons. When it comes time to measure out your ingredients, you dont have to deal with a handful of measuring spoons because theyre all connected. Love this! Another bonus is that they are BPA-free! Price: $7.99.

Pinch Bowls. Ill admit that I had no idea what to do with these at first. I actually had to search Google for ideas and the purpose. I was thinking, Im not a cooking show hostess, what do I do with these?. But you know what? They actually are nice to have around for keeping your cooking ingredients organized (something I am not normally, so obviously I need these). I tend to have a cutting board full of random ingredients, but this way I can put things like chopped garlic or spices to the side, ready to be added to the pan when its time. It was also suggested that you can use them for sides like salsa or sour cream, but I think mine are a bit small for that. At least for my plate for my toddlers it would be perfect! These particular pinch bowls are made of silicone, flat-bottomed and sturdy, and are odor- and stain-resistant. Price: $7.99 for a set of four.

Ive never had a Flat Whisk before now, but I have found this to be extremely useful and a favorite of the Pyrex batch! It is great for mixing gravies, and because the outside wire is lined with silicone it is perfect for scraping around the side of the pan to keep all that good gravy cooking and not burning. 😉 Yum! This is something I think anyone who makes their own gravy and sauces should have to make life easier. Heat resistant to 500 degrees. I recommend it! Price: $12.99.

A kitchen isnt complete without a couple of good silicone spatulas! This Small Spatula is especially helpful for scraping all of the batter out of my mixing bowl into the cake pan. Its stain- and odor-resistant, flexible, and has straight and round sides. What makes me really love it though is the fact that it is heat-resistant up to 500 degrees! Since I have in the past melted one of my spatulas because I used it to scramble eggs (it seemed like a good idea at the time), this is a feature I especially appreciate. This means I can use it for sauteing and stir-frying with no worries! Price: $7.99. Totally worth it!

There is nothing more annoying than a leaking container, and it has definitely happened to me. I looove my new Pyrex Glassware with No-Leak Lids! They dont leak at all this I know because I tested them thoroughly by shaking them upside-down while they were filled with liquid. Not a leak to be found! Perfect for putting leftover soups in and keeping them in the refrigerator. I also send them to work with my husband, secure in the knowledge that there will be no dribbling sauces or soups to inconvenience him. And the lid features a handy vent that makes heating it up in the microwave easy and explosion-free. 😉 The vent is completely leak-proof as well, by the way. These containers range in price from $5.99 to $7.99 and are available to be purchased in value packs, too! I recommend them!

Final Thoughts: I am more than pleased with the quality of these products from Pyrex! I cant recommend them highly enough and am planning to add to my Pyrex collection as time goes by. Christmas is coming! 🙂
