My Experiences With Affresh Stainless Steel Cleaner

Have you ever tried a stainless steel cleaner? Before being chosen to be a part of Mom Centrals Affresh blog tour, I hadnt! I didnt even know there were cleaners especially made to make your stainless steel appliances shine. I was perfect for the campaign, though, since most of my appliances ARE stainless steel including my microwave, toaster oven, and blender. I also have canisters with stainless steel lids as seen in the photo on the left.

If you have anything in your kitchen that is stainless steel, you know that this surface is super shiny and sharp-looking when you first buy it. But after awhile it doesnt look so hot. Its like a fingerprint magnet, and every bit of dirt is easily seen. Its hard to clean, and its hard to keep it looking nice. I had actually decided I didnt want anything else stainless steel in the future.

Affresh is most definitely the answer to your dirty appliance woes. I gave it a try myself and was impressed with its performance! Not only does it clean better than non-specialty products (I know, I did a comparison), it also keeps dirt and fingerprints from building up again!

I tested this out specifically for you guys on my big, dirty microwave:

Lets all say it together: Ewwwwwww!

The instructions for using Affresh are pretty straightforward. For simple clean-up, just spray it on a cloth and wipe clean! For yuckier clean-up, spray directly onto the surface and leave it to soak in for a few minutes, then wipe clean.

SO much better! I went a bit further in this test by putting chocolatey fingers (after eating a brownie the things Ill do for you guys!) on the surface to see how well it guarded against future mess. It left a faint mark but then wiped clean instantly with a dry paper towel. Seriously, Im impressed! According to Affresh, you only need monthly maintenance after the initial clean. Awesomeness.

Other things I like:

  • It smells really good! Who woulda thought?
  • Its water-based, so doesnt require rinsing where food contact might occur (unlike ammonia- or bleach-based cleaners)
  • The spray nozzle has a wide, clean spray and has an off position.

So, to wrap this up, my final impressions are that this product is worth buying for your stainless steel surfaces! Even if you dont have that many and think it might not be worth it well, I think it is. I recommend it!
