Melissa and Doug Wooden Animal Nesting Blocks Review {Giveaway Closed}

Does anyone who comes into contact with a Melissa and Doug toy fail to instantly become a lifelong fan? Not that I know of. I myself love love LOVE their toys, and Ive never heard a single word against them. On the contrary, its all praise, praise, praise! Its the simple truth: moms love Melissa and Doug.

WHY is this esteemed line of toys so rave-worthy? First of all, this is a business that started in the garage of, you guessed it, Melissa and Doug! Theyre conscientious and they want happy customers (which is what they have). Why, they even sign their names to every toy! So its very important to them that everything is tested extensively for safety and that each toy is the highest quality.

What I love about their line is that everything is well-made, educational, and delightful. A parent cant help but know theyve made the right choice when they make a Melissa and Doug purchase at least thats the way I feel. My daughter received one of their toys this Christmas and I was so thrilled to see it was Melissa and Doug. It was an awesome gift and it made me very happy to receive it.

For babies and toddlers: wooden blocks, lacing toys, and soft playsets. For middle-grade children: elaborate doll houses and vehicle/train sets. Before hearing from Melissa and Doug, I had been on the lookout for a good set of blocks for Emma, who was showing interest in stacking toys. I know what fun blocks can be, but we live in a small apartment and I was worried about space issues. The last thing I needed was to try to find a place to keep a set of blocks. I started looking through the Melissa and Doug website at the blocks they have available and was excited to discover their nesting blocks blocks that can be stacked but still nest together and save me the trouble of sweeping them under the crib. Theyre so easily put away, talk about making mommy happy!

I really love the colorful animal illustrations on these blocks. Each side features a new, friendly looking animal. Emma really likes the animal art and I like that Im given a new learning opportunity to teach her what each animal is called.

All in all, this is an awesome toy Emma and I each give it two thumbs up!
