New Kohls Cares Program Will Feature Llama Llama Products & Recipe Books for Mom (Giveaway – 2 Winners!)

Beginning June 28, 2011, Kohls stores will be featuring a new line of products for their Kohls Cares program! Youll be able to purchase Llama Llama books and plush animals, as well as two books filled with recipes for yourself for $5.00 each with 100% of the net profit going toward childrens health and educational initiatives worldwide. Im a huge fan of both Kohls Cares and the Llama Llama books, so this is a really fun post for me to write. 🙂

Thanks to Kohls, we received two Llama Llama childrens books, a plush llama and zebra, and two specialty recipe books for review. These are the awesome products youll find in Kohls soon!

The Llama Llama books and stuffed animals are a HUGE hit in our home, let me tell you. Emma literally hasnt let them out of her sight since they arrived. Llama Llama sleeps with her every night And yes, sometimes he even gives her a ride wherever she needs to go.

We have enjoyed the books we received immensely. The stories feature situations that both Emma and I can relate to. The first book, Llama Llama Red Pajama, has baby Llama being put to bed by Mama Llama. He calls down to her that he needs a drink and when she gets distracted by the phone and dishes he gets scared and throws a fit.

Then comes my absolute favorite part:

Then of course she hugs him and tells him shell always be close even when he cant see her. I have found myself saying more than once since reading this book, Emma! Lets stop all this llama drama!, bringing a smile to both of our faces when Emma is being particularly dramatic about something. And the second book is just as enjoyable as the first. I highly recommend both the books and the plush animals which are incredibly soft!

For mom, the Kohls Cares program will also feature these two excellent books:

Top Secret Restaurant recipes 2 (Abridged) by Todd Wilbur contains about 150 copycat recipes from favorite restaurants like Applebees, The Cheesecake Factory, Chilis, Claim Jumper, Outback Steakhouse, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and more! The recipes are clear and easy to follow, and not to complicated something I really appreciate. In The Top 100 Recipes for a Healthy Lunchbox by Nicola Graimes, youll find some great recipes for your kids (okay, you can eat them, too)! Some of the categories are snacks with dips, soups, sandwiches and wraps, and sweet treats. I love that most of them are simple and quick to whip up, like the Cinnamon Spiced Apples and Omelet Wrap.

Youll have to flip through these books at Kohls next time youre there they are great books to add to your cookbook collection!
