Children’s TV Spotlight: Recent Releases We Love!
There have been many great childrens DVDs released in the past month, and a couple that have just come out! Here are some of our favorites:
Shaun the Sheep: Animal Antics
What Its About
(Synopsis) Get ready for farm-fresh fun and laughter with Shaun the Sheep and his barnyard buddies, as they set the scene for more mayhem on the farm. What we thought
Were crazy about Shaun the Sheep and collect every DVD we possibly can! These episodes (released in late July) are just as hilarious as the previous ones. My favorite is one in which the sheep go a little crazy selling things for the farmer at a little roadside stand and end up selling everything in the farmers house while hes away! The expressions on everyones faces are so funny I still dont know how a whole series is run so successfully with no dialogue but this is one of our top favorite cartoons, one that even my husband and I enjoy watching. Recommended!

Madeline and Her Friends

What we thought
More Madeline! This cartoon is sooo charming and old-fashioned, I love it! The adventures on this DVD center around Madelines friends and their antics. I had to laugh at Madelines Singing Dog when the girls take Genevieve to the Opera and shes kicked out because she is singing along!

Thomas & Friends: Day of the Diesels The Movie

What we thought
If youre a fan of Thomas, youll love this movie! It has all the heart that Thomas & Friends episodes have, only this hour-long movie is even more exciting and entertaining. Theres plenty of action and some mystery, too. I recommend it!

Angelina Ballerina: The Shining Star Trophy The Movie

What we thought
Emma really enjoys these Angelina Ballerina movies, and I can see why: They are full of dancing (which she loves) and music, and are a colorful 3-D look, not a regular flat cartoon. There is always a little lesson on dealing with people (or, er, other mice). Angelina is a kind and selfless character, an example I dont mind my daughter watching. If your kids enjoy Angelina Ballerina, definitely add this to your wishlist!
