Boudreaux’s Baby Products: Our Experience {With Giveaway Prize Package!}

Boudreauxs baby skincare products are usually pretty eye-catching. You can hardly miss the giant letters spelling out BUTT in the baby aisle. They are most popular for their Butt Paste Diaper Rash Ointment, a product that always makes me smile when I see it. I used to wonder, Who came up with that?. I had heard good things about it, but because I try to buy products with natural ingredients for my daughter, I hadnt purchased or had any experience with it myself.

But guess what? They have a NEW All Natural Boudreauxs Butt Paste Diaper Rash Ointment! I knew when I saw that that it was time to give their products a try, and Im glad I did!

The Test: My 2-year-old daughter is still in diapers and very rarely gets a rash but she was a little red and inflamed not too long ago, probably due to something she ate, and so I smoothed the All Natural Boudreauxs Butt Paste on her little rear before I put a new diaper on her and put her to bed. It went on easily and is light and creamy and goes on clear like the product packaging states. The next morning, there was NO redness at all! And there wasnt any residue either, something I appreciated. Some diaper creams are clumpy and thick I like this much better. So our first test was very successful and I can recommend this product highly. 🙂

I like that in the instructions they tell you to change wet and soiled diapers immediately (not everyone does that apparently, but it can help prevent rash so dont put it off!), cleanse the diaper area and allow to dry, and then apply ointment. You can apply it to prevent rash as well if babys bottom has been exposed to a wet diaper for a long time, like first thing in the morning if they wake up with an especially wet diaper.

Note: This is still a zinc oxide product so if youre looking to go for a completely natural approach this isnt the answer. I still think its something every mom should have around for tough rashes, though. It quickly cleared up Emmas rash and since getting her out of pain is the point, Im thankful for this products effectiveness!

I also tested Boudreauxs Baby Butt Smooth Dry Skin Ointment, a product you can put on your babys skin as a moisturizer after bathing. This is another product were happy with for very dry skin irritation. As a daily moisturizer its not my favorite note that it is not a cream but an ointment that coats and protects the skin while it softens and moisturizes. Its top ingredients are petrolatum and mineral oil, so that will give you an idea of its consistency. Like a petroleum jelly. Overall, I like it and find it effective in smoothing and softening the skin.
