Party Like a Twinkle Star by Charity and the JAMband is a set of two CDs featuring fun-filled songs for kids of all ages. On the first CD, entitled Party, youll find ten songs that your child can dance around to perfect for getting that sleepyhead out of bed and moving in the mornings, or motivating during chore time. The second CD is called Twinkle and contains ten more songs, all of them mellow and melodious the best choice for nighttime and settling the little ones down.

A Moms Thoughts:

I love this album! Its obvious that a real mom put this together we have music for motivating, dancing, and having fun, and music for relaxing, just bein together, enjoying the tunes. There really are some wonderful songs here. I love that there are new, fresh, original songs, and old favorites like Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star and Row, Row, Row Your Boat. Though they are familiar, they have a funky new musical flavor that your kids (and you) will love.

Charity has written many of the songs based on experiences with her children, and I think that makes this music even more special. You can read some of her stories behind the songs here.

Note to moms: I think youll love the lyrics on these CDs, but in the first song on the Party disc, the word booty is used a lot, and a couple of the songs are a little sassier than I like (Rockstar is one of those). If any of those bother you, they are easy to skip past, though.

Conclusion:

Party Like a Twinkle Star is full of songs with really lovely lyrics. Charity sings of the beauty of the earth (Moon Hug), love for family and friends, takes your child on a few adventures along the way (Amazing Rocket Ship), and doesnt leave out our old favorites (Twinkle Twinkle Little Star). This music is upbeat, cheerful, modern, and melodious with fun sound effects throughout sure to be a favorite with children everywhere. And I know it is because Ive seen videos of Charity and the JAMband concerts. Kids of all ages are jumping around and singing with the music, having the time of their life! I recommend this one. 🙂
