GIVEAWAY: Whimsey Kids Custom Handpainted Clothing for Children (Rave Review!)

Get ready to be bombarded by cuteness! These are my children. Yes, theyre cute (if I do say so myself), but theyre not the focus today for a change! 😉 Dont you love their outfits? Both Isaacs overalls and Emmas dress are designed and handpainted by Rosanna, the mom behind Whimsey Kids. It gets better Rosanna takes on custom designs! She let me pick the theme and tell her exactly what I wanted on the overalls and dress (and I even chose the dress type and fabrics). It was SO much fun! I could hardly wait to get these outfits, and it didnt take her long to finish them, either a couple weeks. Seriously, Im impressed! And SO pleased with the result. 🙂 Rosanna is extremely easy to work with when it comes to custom work. You can be as particular as you want, or as vague. I was semi-vague…

Old London Recipe: Melba Toast Quiche + Sweepstakes!

Have you ever tried Melba Toast before? Delicious! Ive been addicted to these crunchy crackers for years in fact, when I was pregnant with Isaac I craved Melba Snacks and hid them from my toddler and husband so I could eat the entire box myself. Theyre yummy alone, with your favorite dip, with soup, crumbled on salad, as mini sandwiches, topped with cheese and deli meat or hummus, and so many other ways! But, you ask, are they kid-friendly? My kids say YES! Seriously, I had to wrestle my boxes of crackers from them! Since I first fell in love with these crackers, new flavors and snack shapes have hit the shelves the Bagel Chips are large and perfect for topping with cheese and serving at parties. Youll have to look for them in the cracker aisle next time you go through and see what types are available. And now,…

2012 Summer Dress Trends: Which One Would You Wear?

I like to keep up with the latest womens clothing trends just for fun. I dont necessarily run out and buy clothes that match the trends, but its interesting to see what other people are shopping for while I sit at my computer in my pajamas. 😉 So lets see what is IN right now in the dress category Color Blocking Id say it could be tastefully done, but I wouldnt wear that dress on the left. its a little too contrasting neon and black for me. The one on the right is cute, though! Image source Not a huge fan of that dress, but if Kristen Stewart wears it! 😉 Peplum Dress The peplum features a ruffle around the high waist. This is definitely one of those shape-specific styles I couldnt wear it with my hips! But hey, if you have no rear end and you want one this…

7 Creative Outdoors Activities For Preschoolers

My kids love to be outside. And it never ceases to amaze me how much they will find to do outside they just dont get bored! Even if theyre just walking around the yard theyre perfectly happy just being. In contrast, when theyre inside the house it seems they are constantly asking for something to eat, drink, play with, watch, or theyre crying over miniscule injuries. For some reason that doesnt happen outside! So of course we spend as much of our time as possible outside. 🙂 And although they dont really need me to direct their play often, sometimes I feel the need for more organized playtime. {Blast From the Past} Puppy/Kitty Surprise

Hasbros Pet Surprise line was very popular when it first released they created a Puppy Surprise, Kitty Surprise, Pony Surprise, Bunny Surprise, and Bear Surprise. Each of the animals had a pocket in their stomach and came with a surprise number of corresponding babies. I believe three was the most common number. I think these kittens are pretty darn life-like (other than the ones with open eyes)! If youve ever seen newborn and baby kittens you know they have those skinny little tails that stick straight up when theyre walking. Hey look, I found the old commercial too! Did you have a Surprise Pet?
